Pollinators celebrated in Woodinville

A popular annual event that celebrates nature is returning to Woodinville.

Pollinator Fest 2026 is an acknowledgement and celebration of pollinators, the creatures that enable plants to grow and thrive. The free event is a highlight for residents of the Sammamish Valley and offers opportunities for both education and entertainment.

Education includes a chance to discover the relationship between native pollinators and plants; the importance of soil; how to attract pollinators to a garden; and alternatives to harsh chemical pesticides. Suggestions on how to become a pollinator steward and join the larger pollinator pathway will be offered.

Entertainment includes an art display of the winning entries of the pollinator art contest run by the Woodinville Garden Club; face painting; a kid’s table; and more. Bob Gillespie, an entomologist, will return with his insects.

Gregory Green is the event’s keynote speaker. Green is a wildlife photographer and ecologist, as well as a senior instructor in natural history and ecology at Western Washington University. The subject of his talk will be “Hummingbird Ecology: From Ecuador to the Pacific Northwest.”

Numerous experts will be on hand with additional information, such as Agroforestry Northwest, Friends of North Creek Forest, Save Soil, and many others.

The pollinator festival will be held at 21 Acres on May 30, from 10.00 am until 3.00 pm. Events like this can benefit if organizers use flyer printing to create informative handouts for visitors.
