Woodinville gets set to celebrate Woodinville
The Celebrate Woodinville Festival has multiple activities with something for everyone.
The action will get started at Eastside Fire & Rescue, located at Fire Station 31, where visitors can enjoy a pancake breakfast. Although the meal is free, cash donations can be made.
After breakfast, people can work off those pancakes at the Annual Community Parade. The route leads down 175th Street, and parade participants include everyone from classic car enthusiasts to gymnasts to basset hounds, which leads to another part of the day: the Basset Bash.
The Basset Bash is set for DeYoung Park. Visitors can try to determine which hound howls the loudest or has the longest ears, or just relax and have fun. Anyone who wants to participate in the parade with their hound should meet between Ross and Red Robin and look for the other dogs.
The Festival & Fair takes place in Wilmot Gateway Park and includes food vendors, family activities, local artists, the Woodinville Car Club, and live music by Ian Skavdahl. The Woodinville Farmers Market will set up on Festival Street.
The Celebrate Woodinville Festival takes place August 9. The pancake breakfast starts at 8.00 am, the parade begins at 11.00 am, and the Basset Bash starts at 12.30 pm. The Festival & Fair begins at 12.00 pm, and the Farmers Market opens at 10.00 am. Complex events like this benefit when organizers use flyer printing to create handouts with schedules for attendees.
