A legend in the music business is coming to Woodinville.
Bob Dylan, whose career now spans almost 70 years, is one of music’s greatest songwriters and an important part of pop culture. His record sales are estimated to be 125 million records worldwide, making him one of the industry’s top sellers, and a hero of 1960s counterculture.
Bob Dylan was born in Duluth, Minnesota, and began performing in high school, when he was in several bands. He enrolled in the University of Minnesota but dropped out to move to New York to pursue a career in music and to visit his idol Woody Guthrie, who was hospitalized at Greystone Park Psychiatric Hospital, battling Huntington’s disease. Dylan acknowledges Guthrie’s strong influence on him, and his first album, 1962’s “Bob Dylan,” was a traditional blues and folk album. His next album, 1963’s “The Freewheelin’ Bob Dylan” proved to be his breakthrough.
Dylan released his latest album, Shadow Kingdom, in 2023. It is 40th album, and he still plays live at the age of 85. Over his career, Dylan has received numerous important awards including an Oscar, a Golden Globe, 10 Grammys, a Nobel Prize in Literature, and a Presidential Medal of Freedom.
The artist will appear at Woodinville’s Chateau Ste Michelle Winery next Saturday, June 6. When they use poster printing, organizers of events like this can create effective advertising for them.
