Quarterly 5K event to return to Woodinville
Run or Wine will return to Woodinville next month for its last race of the year. The event is a 5K race that has been ongoing since 2014.
This race is held throughout the year to help runners improve their 5K times. For 2021, organizers decided to hold the run every quarter of the year, with the first happening back in January. For this upcoming race, runners will traverse a pre-set course close to Cottage Lake Park.
Like with previous runs, participants will have a chance to enjoy some wine tasting and snacks after their run. Each runner will also receive a medal for their efforts along with free race photos to take home. Also, organizers will be selling race T-shirts that feature a Run or Wine graphic design.
On the day of the race, participants can pick up their packets before the event starts. Each runner will need to present a piece of photo ID to get their packets. If any participant is late, they will be able to pick up their packets after the race.
The Run or Wine 5K will take place on October 9 at 2:30 PM. Its starting spot will be at 144th Avenue Northeast. Registration to the event is $35, with an additional $10 fee if participants sign up on race day.
