Peach startup raises millions

A Seattle tech startup has received $8 million from a fundraising round.

Peach has obtained money from a variety of sources, including

Vulcan Capital and Madrona Venture Group. The resources have been allocated towards an expansion plan. A print company in Woodinville could be used to assist with producing material such as brochures in relation to this project. The chief executive of Peach, Nishant Singh, has confirmed where the resources will be allocated:



“This money is going to be pumped into expansion and making Peach a more successful business.”




It has been revealed that the idea is that the company will now have the capacity to move into Boston. The strategy has Washington D.C. next in line. In addition, Mr. Singh has the desire to employ an operating officer to implement his vision.

Peach has developed a tech solution to address the problem of delivering food to office workers. It has devised a system where it sends text messages to individuals who have signed up with them. If the customers reply positively to the text message, Peach has the task of looking after the delivery of food.

It has been stated that at the moment Peach cooperates with approximately 125 restaurants. These businesses are situated in San Diego and Seattle. The firm uses algorithms to help the restaurants prepare the necessary quantity of food. At the moment, Peach directly employs about 25 workers, but it has been announced that this will be a temporary arrangement.
