One of the biggest parties in Woodinville is coming up soon.
The Celebrate Woodinville Festival is designed to bring together Woodinville residents and visitors from around the Puget Sound area to enjoy family-friendly events, and to introduce non-residents to Woodinville’s agriculture, businesses, breweries, wineries, and unique culture.
The full-day festival begins with a Community Pancake Breakfast, held from 8:00 am until 10:30 am, at Fire Station 31. That will leave everyone well fed in time for the Annual Community Parade, which will be held from 11:00 am until 12:00 pm on 175th Street.
After the parade, it will be time to celebrate the city’s pooches with the Basset Bash, which will take place in DeYoung Park, from 12:30 pm until 3:30 pm. The bassets will be judged on such attributes as best waddle, longest ears, and other whimsical qualities. Bassets are the only dogs allowed to take part.
The main events of the day, the Festival & Fair, are scheduled to run from 12:00 pm until 5:00 pm, at Wilmot Gateway Park. The activities here are the Woodinville Car Club Car show, exhibitors, an art show, a Wine & Beer Garden, and Music in the Park, with musicians providing live entertainment.
The list of bands and other entertainers is still being finalized. Food and beverages will be supplied by local companies Simpatico Cellars, Quiddity Wines, Trophy Cupcakes, and Tandem. Events like this can benefit if organizers use banner printing to create signage to identify vendors and entertainment.
The festival is scheduled for August 13.
