Chris Isaak is probably best known for the haunting song that has become his signature, “Wicked Game.” Isaak released the number, which is off his “Heart Shaped World” album, in July 1989. It was only a modest success until director David Lynch featured the song in his 1990 film “Wild at Heart.” “Wicked Game” got extensive airplay in Atlanta thanks to Lee Chesnut, a music director at an Atlanta station who loved Lynch’s films. With this boost, the song climbed to No. 6 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart in 1991.
In his career, Isaak has released a total of 13 albums, dropping the latest, “Everybody Knows It’s Christmas,” in 2022. He has been nominated for numerous awards, including two nominations for a Grammy.
Isaak also has a solid resume as an actor, appearing both on television and in films, often directed by his friend David Lynch. He has also hosted two television series of his own. A review says:
