An annual Vancouver event is so popular it’s being held twice.
The Family Valentine’s Ball will take place in the historic Pearson Air Museum on two consecutive days to ensure everyone who wants to attend will be accommodated. The evenings are identical.
The Family Ball is a chance for families to enjoy music and dancing together in the museum’s Historic Hangar. Everyone is welcome to celebrate with their family, whether that is a birth family, or one created by choice.
The hangar was built in 1921 and was moved to its present location around 1924 by the Army Air Service. The huge double doors open onto Pearson Field, which handles general aviation aircraft and has been in operation since 1905. It is the Pacific Northwest’s oldest continuously operating airport.
The Family Valentine’s Ball is scheduled for February 6 and 7, from 6.00 pm until 8.00 pm both evenings. The museum is located at 1115 East 5th Street in Vancouver. Events like this benefit from the advertising organizers can provide by using poster printing.
Tickets must be purchased in advance and will not be available at the venue. They will be sold at either the Marshall Community Center or the Firstenburg Community Center through February 3. Tickets for participants ages two and older are $20 for Vancouver residents and $25 for non-residents; and for toddlers ages zero through one are $10 for residents and $13 for non-residents. Eligible Vancouver residents may qualify for scholarships to cover half the admission cost.
