One of the best things about summer is enjoying outdoor events, and Vancouver has a lot of fun on the schedule for July.
The new Vancouver Waterfront development is one of the places to enjoy a series of concerts. They will take place at a small park directly on the shore, providing a gorgeous setting for people to enjoy the music. People going to the concert can enjoy a meal at one of the nearby restaurants.
The concerts here will feature Dina Y Los Rumberos, Jujuba, Cha Wa, and the Shanghai Woolies. Dina Y Los Rumberos play international and Cuban dance music, while Jujuba offer a World Afrobeat performance. Cha Wa is a Mardi Gras Indian band based in New Orleans, and the Shanghai Woolies play blues, jazz, Latin, and Swing.
A second concert series will take place at Columbia Tech Center Park, located at 17701 Southeast Mill Plain Boulevard. The performers appearing here are Aaron Meyer, the Tracy Stone Band, and Prom Date Mixtape. Meyer is a rock violinist who plays a rock and classical fusion; the Tracy Stone Band offers soul, funk, Motown, and R&B; and the Prom Date Mixtape is a tribute band playing the hits of the 1980s.
Posters are a great grassroots way to promote events like these and they can be both designed and printed at area Print shops.
The Waterfront series begins July 9 and continues weekly until July 30; the Columbia Tech Center concerts begin July 12 and end July 26. Both series are free.
