Camps for children are on the April schedule in Vancouver.
Vancouver’s Parks, Recreation, and Cultural Services department is returning with its Youth Day Camps. During these days, attending children will enjoy sports, games, recreational activities, swimming, and visits from special guests. The camps are designed to encourage good decision making, team building, leadership, positive identity, a healthy lifestyle, and strong values.
In order to take part, children have to be at least six years of age but no older than 11, and the camp is open to both girls and boys. The ratio of staff members to participating children is 1:10, and they are asked to bring a water bottle, snack, lunch, and towel and swimsuit, unless the itinerary for the camp says otherwise. Organizers of programs like this can use flyer printing to create handouts for class members.
Program managers will make every effort to accommodate children with special needs. However, if the child needs help with basic activities such as changing clothes, eating, or going to the bathroom, a caregiver may accompany the youngster at no charge.
The Marshall Spring Break Youth Day Camp takes place from April 3 through April 7, at the Marshall Community Center on McLoughlin Boulevard. The day’s activities are scheduled to take place from 9:00 am until 4:30 pm, but parents may drop children off as early as 8:00 am, and pick them up as late as 5:30 pm.
