A circus unlike any other is coming to Vancouver.
Paranormal Cirque II combines the elements that have become familiar to audiences since various cirque companies redefined the circus, along with paranormal touches. The Paranormal Cirque troupes are one of several Circus Italia concepts now performing. There are four Paranormal Cirques on tour, and three Water Circuses.
The show is adult in nature, and in fact will not admit anyone under the age of 13, those from 13 through 17 must have a guardian with them. The show leans heavily into the horror genre, as many of its performers wear masks, and some are dressed as vampires, or ghosts. The interior of the tent is deliberately hazy, adding to the eerie atmosphere. The circus performers are outstanding, including some acts that are genuinely risky, such as a wheel of death that has audience members fearing for the performer’s life.
The circus has a horror maze at its entrance. For those who enjoy being scared even before the show starts, the maze is a must. Souvenirs and fun circus food are also available.
Paranormal Cirque II will set up its black-and-red tent at the Vancouver Mall on June 6, at 9.30 pm. The mall is a regional shopping center, one of the largest in the state, so people can stop and shop before the show.
