Veterans will be honored in Vancouver soon with a traditional parade.
The Historic Trust is partnering with the City of Vancouver to invite everyone to honor local veterans by attending the 34th Annual Lough Legacy Veterans Parade. The Trust is responsible for managing and preserving the properties located at the Fort Vancouver Historic Site, a mission they have carried out for the past 19 years. The organization seeks to encourage economic stability and civic pride through celebrating and preserving the city’s history. Once known as the Fort Vancouver National Trust, it was rebranded to its current identity in 2017 as a result of its successes.
The parade is part of Vancouver’s tradition of honoring its place in military history, which of course includes the fort, as well as the local veterans. The parade takes its name from JoAnne and Frank Lough, who donated over the years to help make Veterans Day events possible. Frank Lough, who passed away in 2008, was an aviation enthusiast and a veteran of the Second World War who served 23 years in the U.S. Navy.
The parade is scheduled for November 5, from 11.00 am until 1.00 pm, at Fort Vancouver National Site on Anderson Street. When events like these are planned, organizers can work with banner printing to create appropriate decorations. Using Banners means the items will be sturdy and weather resistant.Get a Free Quote for Banners
