Seasonal dinner planned in Spokane Valley
A Spokane Valley restaurant has revealed its plans for a seasonal meal, designed to celebrate the season.
Twigs, which has several locations in Washington, has designed a menu featuring the flavors of fall paired with specialty house cocktails to complement them. Formal events like this can be enhanced if organizers decide to use flyer printing to create one-of-a-kind menus.
The first course is sage and pumpkin arancini, which are rice balls. The risotto balls are crispy and made with parmesan, pumpkin, and a brown butter sauce with sage. The drink will be bubbly and crisp.
Next comes a soup course – a creamy leek and potato – with chive oil and bacon lardons glazed with rum. The drink is a cocktail called a Smoke Show.
The third course is a roasted carrot salad. The carrots have a maple glaze and the salad includes pistachios, feta, arugula, and herbed yogurt. The drink pairing is Pear Perfect.
For the main course, Twigs is serving duck braised in cider, accompanied by polenta, paired with an Autumn Drift.
Finally, dessert is a maple pumpkin cheesecake served with toasted pecans, whipped cream, and caramel sauce. Rum and Ember is the paired drink.
The dinner is scheduled for Thursday, November 20 at 6:00 pm, and the price is $85 plus gratuity and tax. The restaurant is located at 14732 East Indiana Avenue. Seating is limited to 20 guests, and reservations are required and need to be made soon.
