The Annual Water Lantern Festival in Kennewick is returning this year.
The family-friendly event brings together hundreds of people as they experience lanterns launching at sunset. It continues for a couple hours into the evening allowing everyone the opportunity to ensure they have a lantern in the water. Organizers note spectators enjoy watching the ski light up with lanterns, some of which have a special meaning to the people involved.
The festival is a for-profit event, although donations are made to support charities and other non-profit organizations in the area. The event is a proud supporter of Water.org, which provides safe water to millions of people across the globe.
While attendees are not permitted to bring their own lanterns, they may purchase one from the event organizers. The lanterns used are 100% eco-friendly and are made of rice paper and wood. The staff and volunteers handle the clean-up after the event.
Vendors will be part of the festivities and can apply for space online. Vendors often use the services of local Print shops to create signage for such events. Banner printing is a viable method of creating vibrant and fun Signs to put in vendor booths or areas.
