Kennewick opens second Winterfest
Kennewick has a full day planned that celebrates the holidays.
Things start with the Hometown Holiday Parade, which takes place in downtown Kennewick. The parade features entertaining characters, vehicles from the fire and police departments, floats with holiday themes, and a visit from Santa Claus himself.
The parade begins when participants stage on Dayton Street before proceeding down Kennewick Avenue. After the procession, people will be able to find Santa in Santa Square where they can take selfies with him, and enjoy treats and festive activities.
Kennewick’s Second Annual Winterfest 2025 will be held at Columbia Gardens Wine and Artisan Village. Nana’s Kitchen will be organizing a cookie decorating session for Santa, and there will be wineries on hand as well as food trucks and pop-up vendors.
The Columbia Gardens Wine & Artisan Village is a project of Benton County, the City of Kennewick, and the Port of Kennewick. The three entities have partnered to create a destination neighborhood where visitors will find boutique shops, restaurants, craft breweries, food trucks, and tasting rooms.
The events are set for December 6, with the parade stepping off at 10.00 am. Winterfest begins after the parade. The event, which is open to the public, has no admission charge. In order to publicize events like this, organizers often use flyer printing to create handouts to distribute in the local area, an economical way to create interest.
