Hedges Family Estate Winery in Benton City, a short drive from Kennewick, will host a grand event at the Taste Red Mountain first annual wine tasting event. The weekend will bring the opportunity to explore a variety of wines in a fun setting.
Red Mountain AVA wine will be the featured wine, while guests are invited to enjoy it amongst the vineyards where the fruit grows. Additional wines will be available for tasting giving everyone the chance to experience the differences as well as similarities amidst various types of brands.
Participating wineries from across the state bring brands including Aquilina, Col Solare, Fidelitas, Hightower Cellars, Klipsun and Domaine Magdalena.
Other activities on the agenda for the weekend include hikes through the vineyard with winemakers and managers. The guided hikes are included with grand tasting ticket purchase. A horse-drawn wagon ride presented by Red Mountain Trails is available at $10 per person.
