This year’s Camp T.E.A.M. (which stands for ‘Together Everyone Achieves More’) is shaping up to be a hilariously fun activity for adults and teens with developmental disabilities, West Washington University (WWU) students, and other community members.
This is the 12th annual overnight camp and will offer guests a great deal of fun and the opportunity to meet new people. Banner printing, poster printing, and brochure printing were most likely among methods used to advertise and promote this annual camp to members in this community and the district.
Participants will have the chance to enjoy playing games, take leisurely nature walks, create arts and crafts, enjoy snacks around the bonfire, play on the sandy beach, and sing along with some karaoke. One of the main attractions to this camp is the relationship building with others who attend, especially with the assistance of WWU Students’ Program member, who are acting as co-campers and special counselors.
The cost includes all transportation from Bellingham and Mount Vernon, accommodation, and food. The camp is located on the beautiful Samish Island and personal care attendants will be available at no charge for those who require assistance.
The cost to attend this camp is $30 per person in advance. The Camp T.E.A.M. will be occurring on Friday, May 10, starting at 1:00 pm and running until 3:00 pm on Saturday, May 11, with the group leaving and returning to the Civic Field Stadium, located at 1355 Civic Field Way in Bellingham, Washington. To learn more about this camp, please visit the Camp T.E.A.M website or call the coordinator, Amanda, at 360-778-7000.
