In addition to her work as a stand-up comic, Tig Notaro is also a podcast host, producer, director, writer, and actor. She has also been honored with nominations for the SAG, WGA, Grammy, and Emmy awards. She earned the last two for “Boyish Girl Interrupted,” which appeared on HBO in 2016. The project also received a nomination for Netflix Original Documentary from GLAAD.
She received further acclaim for “One Mississippi,” a series she wrote, starred in, and produced for Amazon Prime Video. She is the host of the comedy podcast “Handsome,” sharing hosting duties with Mae Martin and Fortune Feimster. Another project for HBO, her standup special “Drawn,” was historic because it is the first standup ever to be completely animated. She received yet more Emmy nominations for her 2024 Prime Video special “Tig Notaro: Hello Again.”
In addition to her substantial body of television work, she is also an author. “I’m Just a Person,” her memoir, appeared on the New York Times Bestseller List.
A review of Notaro in performance says:
“We've watched Tig Notaro specials on Netflix before, but she was even funnier in person! We loved how she interacted with the crowd . . .”
Tig Notaro comes to Bellingham’s Mt. Baker Theatre on May 13 and 14. Organizers who arrange shows like this will find they can support them using poster printing.
