The schedule for the 2026 Summer Concert Series in the Parks has been announced and will take place in three different locations, Boulevard Park, Elizabeth Park, and Maritime Heritage Park.
The concerts kick off at Elizabeth Park with the 4Tens Band, followed by The Sweet Goodbyes. The 4Tens Band is a party band that loves to play classic rock for local audiences, and The Sweet Goodbyes are a folk-pop duo based in Bellingham. They are Lisa Harmon and Amber Darland, who performed solo throughout the area until 2015, when they decided to join forces.
Boulevard Park will host Veronica North, a singer/songwriter who was born in Point Roberts, Washington and is now based in Bellingham. The Cascadia Daily News, a Bellingham newspaper, calls her a:
“hometown pop star”
referring to the fact that she enjoys writing and performing her own pop songs. Her work is informed by her background as a psychiatric nurse, and she is inspired by artists like Taylor Swift and Maggie Rogers. She begins by writing songs without putting them into a specific category, instead she lets them unfold. This means she often incorporates other genres, creating something unique.
The 4Tens Band appear on June 18, The Sweet Goodbyes on June 25, and Veronica North on June 26. Performances in both parks are from 6.00 pm until 8.00 pm. Events like this benefit when organizers use poster printing methods to develop advertisements for them.
