A local organization has announced the date of its annual fundraising event.
The Working Waterfront Coalition is the host of the yearly Tide to Table dinner, which will take place at the Bellingham Yacht Club. The centerpiece of the dinner is a traditional seafood boil provided by Drayton Harbor Oyster Company. Vendors from the Dockside Market will provide appetizers and other fun items.
The feast also includes a live auction and a raffle, along with a dessert dash, which has proven to be one of the most popular aspects of the dinner. The sweet treats will come from popular Whatcom stores and bakeries.
The dress code offers choices. Attendees may opt to come-as-you-are, wear clothes with a yacht rock theme, or traditional fisherman core attire. Organizers plan to set up a photo booth so diners can capture their signature looks.
The dinner will help raise funds for the Working Waterfront Coalition and its mission of protecting the city’s working waterfronts and ensuring their vitality. The local waterfronts are sometimes pressured to make room for uses that are not reliant on access to the water. The coalition supports practices, regulations, and policies that allow the waterfront to thrive.
The Tide to Table dinner this year is scheduled for Saturday, April 25. The yacht club is located at 2625 South Harbor Loop Drive. When they plan events like this, organizers might consider working with brochure printers to create an informative pamphlet about their operations.
