Work on Bellevues new Hilton Garden Inn gets underway

It was announced on September 30 that the ground had been broken on a new 254-room hotel for downtown Bellevue.

The announcement that the construction phase was beginning for the new Hilton Garden Inn was made by West 77 Partners and The Hotel Group, an Edmonds, Washington hotel management company. This latest addition to downtown Bellevue will be conveniently located two blocks from Bellevue Square Mall to its west.

The Hotel Group has been owning and managing hotels for over 30 years. According to its President and CEO, Douglas Dreher, the site for the new Hilton Garden Inn is ideal for both business and leisure travelers, and he emphasized his company’s commitment to making its latest venture a success.

In a big project such as this, there are an enormous number of details in both the construction and decorating phases before the doors can open. Just a few of the details that must be dealt with are bedding and towel selection and the design of the hotel’s personalized Stationery.

The hotel’s construction is being handled by Vandervert Construction, Inc., using plans created by Jensen Fey Architects. Design details were sparse, but the hotels is expected to have a custom layout and will boast the latest technology with contemporary finishes. Completion is expected in late 2016 or early 2017.
