T-Mobile recently announced that it will be undertaking a major remodeling project of its headquarters in the Factoria area of Bellevue as it has also renewed its lease at the facility through 2030.
The renovation will take place over the next three years and will be carried out in phases. Employees will have new amenities such as new dining options, pedestrian skybridges between buildings, and indoor-outdoor spaces for workplace collaboration. T-Mobile said that the goal of this $160m project is to transform the existing building into a more flexible, connected, and inclusive workplace to support increased collaboration and innovation among employees.
The Economic Development team of the city has been working closely with T-Mobile for quite some time to make this future growth possible. There have been discussions on land use and permitting requirements and area workforce needs, as well as short- and long-term transportation improvements in the Factoria area. These efforts are part of the city’s ‘Grow in Bellevue’ program.
Interim Cultural and Economic Vitality director, Jesse Canedo, added that the city has a concierge-style approach to business retention so that companies are supported proactively as determined by their unique circumstances and needs.
Banner printing companies can be hired so that residents in the area become aware of such expansions and their benefits to the community.
