Bellevue will be hosting its Movies in the Park event at two locations this month.
There will be vendors giving away fun prizes, interactive entertainers, and local musicians providing entertainment before each movie. The screenings will begin at dusk.
All movies are free, and people can bring their dogs to each park. Attendees are welcome to bring a picnic dinner or takeout from a local restaurant, as well as blankets and chairs.
The Downtown in the Park movies (taking place at Bellevue Downtown Park) will be on Tuesday nights. The movies presented will be:
• “Cars” on August 5, about a hotshot rookie race car who learns that not everything in life depends on winning.
• “Miracle” on August 12, which tells the true story of Herb Brooks, who in 1980 led the United States Olympic hockey team to victory.
• “Monsters University” on August 19, which examines the relationship between James P. “Sully” Sullivan and Mike Wazowski when they were at Monsters University
Crossroads Movies in the Park are on Thursday nights at Crossroads Park and will feature “An American Tail” on August 7, “Wicked” on August 14, and “The Wild Robot” on August 21.
Poster printing can be used throughout a city to promote such special entertainment for families during the summer months.
Sponsors of these movies include Viome, Crossroads, Amazon, Charles Schwab, and Spirit 1053.
