New museum opens for children in Bellevue

KidsQuest Children’s Museum, which is a nonprofit organization, recently opened a new location in Bellevue.

The museum’s mission is to create an environment where children can learn and explore. It’s emphasis is on science, technology, engineering, art and math.

Through hard work and various fundraising activities, the renovations to the new building started in 2016 and were completed on schedule for the grand opening. As a nonprofit, it is continually seeking support through various campaigns and programs. Organizations in this position often use Direct Mail printing to reach a wider audience for donations and membership drives.

The museum is open to the public and is available for birthday parties and other events. When the original facility opened in 2005, KidsQuest predicted about 60,000 visitors would come to the facility in the first year, but the actual number was almost triple that. As attendance and activities grew, the nonprofit realized it needed more space and started searching for the new location.

The newest location, which is on the side of town known as the Eastside, provides a variety of entertainment for visiting children. The facility, which is a hands-on interactive facility, includes a splash zone, big rig semi-truck, train table, reading nook, and art studio complete with a kiln. An onsite store also offers interactive toys and games available for purchase.

KidsQuest also offers hundreds of programs throughout the year, including learning classes, summer camps and workshops. The museum, located at 1116 108th Ave NE, is open four days a week with varying hours.
