The Bellevue Farmers Market recently opened along with several other such markets in the Eastside.
The 60 vendors that have already signed up include breweries, wineries, fishmonger, and artisan food producers among others. Additional vendors will be selling local crafts, fresh flowers, and artisanal desserts. Food trucks will be on hand with many culinary delights.
Natalie Evans, executive director of the Bellevue Farmers Market, said that the offerings are diversified with many new products, and the community should be very excited about what they will see.
In addition to food and beverages, many non-profits and other groups attend the market. These have included the van for the King County library, Bellevue Green Cleaning, and Master Gardeners. Many local artists perform at the market as well.
During the peak season, there will be chef demonstrations by Daniel Laferriere, executive chef from Lincoln Square, who will show attendees how to use the fresh produce from the market in special dishes.
There will also be a program for children to learn about healthy fruits and vegetables and promote healthy food choices. Brochure printing could be used in educational opportunities such as this one to create Brochures with more information about the nutritional value and other benefits of these foods.
The market is open now until October 11 and will be from 3:00 to 7:00 pm every Thursday.
