Bellevue to host program on diversity plan

An open forum on “Building Belonging: Diversity Advantage Plan 2035” will be hosted by the city of Bellevue later this month. An update on the progress the city is making in implementing the Diversity Advantage Plan 2035 will be provided as well as opportunities for members of the community to find out more about efforts the city is making in advancing equitable access, community inclusion, and opportunities for all residents.

The event will open with a special performance by the Highland Middle School Mariachi of the Bellevue School District. There will also be activities for the family and dinner provided.

During the meeting, city staff will discuss current efforts and future initiatives tied to the diversity, equity and inclusion objectives of the community. Guests will also have an opportunity to preview a newly developed online tracking tool that will monitor achievements and milestones outlined in the plan. Attendees are encouraged to reserve a spot ahead of the event.

Also available during the event will be members of the Bellevue Equity Advisory and Community Outreach Network who can share more details about their work and how members of the community can be more involved in their efforts. This group advises the city on how to make services and programs more culturally responsive, equitable, and accessible.

Cities can use poster printing to promote such events and boost attendance.
