Bellevue the site for states first fried chicken outlet

Chick-fil-A broke ground on its first ever Washington State store on October 29, which is set to me the first of many for the state.

The Bellevue location will be one of three Washington Chick-fil-A franchises to open in 2015, to be followed by 17 other stores by 2020. Other stores opening next spring will be in Lynwood and Tacoma. Bellevue’s opening, tentatively set for March, will be the Atlanta-based company’s first foray into Washington and has been in the planning stage since 2009.

Another first for the Bellevue Chick-fil-A will be its design, with Blake Goodman, Chick-fil-A’s real estate director, saying.

"We have never built this building before. We’re excited to see what it looks like."

As with all new businesses, this will no doubt require the services of a printing company to supply it with various Print products, many of which will carry the company’s contact information.

At the groundbreaking, John Stokes, Bellevue City Councilmember, told those gathered that the new Chick-fil-A location, formerly a Denny’s restaurant, is prime for redevelopment. Stokes noted that a surge in growth is expected to occur due to the coming East Link light rail.

Chick-fil-A was founded in 1967 and presently operates 1,850 restaurants in 41 states. In addition to the three stores slated to open in the spring, Goodman is in the process of researching up to eight other locations for stores in the Puget Sound region.
