Bellevue Park-and-Ride to close at end of May

Overlake Transit Center has closed the Overlake Transit Center’s park-and-ride lot recently and the Bellevue lot will soon follow. Closures will last for several months while the Redmond Technology Center light rail station is being completed.

Due to the work, Bellevue will close for five years and Overlake for six years, and Sound Transit has opened new lots to support those relying on them. In Bellevue and Redmond, between SR 520 and I-90, seven new lots have been opened. Commuters may also use the other existing lots in the meantime.

While Sound Transit provides and interactive parking map for residents and commuters, they could also benefit from the services of a local Print company to Print maps showing the various locations which could be distributed through Direct Mail printing. King County has created online resources for commuters as well.

The two lots will be used as a location for construction staging for the East Link light rail line. The Redmond Technology Center light rail station, when open, will have a parking garage that will hold up to 320 vehicles, constructed by Sound Transit.

Those wishing to obtain more information may visit the King County website or the King County Community in Motion program site for additional information and guidance. The websites and portal will provide more in-depth information on parking facilities with availability, as well as more detail on the new locations.
