Bellevue residents were recently offered a chance to take in some of the offerings from the 40th annual Northwest Filmmakers’ Festival.
The screening, which took place at the Bellevue branch of the King County Library, screened 10 shorts that were shown during the original event. The films shown included offerings from Oregon, Washington State, Montana, and even British Columbia that were exhibited during the festival back in 2013. Full color Flyers can be produced by a Print company to help promote the event throughout the local community. These can include QR code that allows the reader to easily link to the library’s website for more information about this or other activities that are being held.
The film portion of the evening ran for about 75 minutes, and there was time for discussion at the end of the video presentation. The titles shown included the “best in festival” award-winning animated ‘Lake Beast’, which is an eight-minute piece by Vance Reeser. It tells the story of a man who feels drawn to explore the depths of a toxic lake.
The Northwest Filmmakers’ Festival, is hosted by the NM Film Center at the Portland Art Museum. Its next running will take place in November 2016.
