Dick’s Drive-In now has a food truck in Bellevue.
Located on Bellevue Way at the Umpqua Bank, the truck is serving the eatery’s full menu of deluxe burgers, shakes, beverages, and chips. Should this endeavor be successful, frying capabilities may be added in the future.
Dick’s is also planning to take part in a holiday event in Newcastle next week, which will be a fundraiser for Mary’s Place No Child Sleeps Outside campaign and an attempt to spread some holiday cheer. Dick’s will be joined by food trucks from Anthony’s, Jenny Cookies, and Trophy Cupcakes, with 10% of the sales of the day going to the charity. Flyer printing is often used to attract large numbers of people to events like these, and to publicize fundraising efforts.
President of Dick’s Drive-In Restaurants, Jasmine Donovan, said that many unexpected challenges have been faced by families this year, with many not having a safe place to call home. She hopes this will be a way to welcome the holiday season, enjoy some good food, and help those most vulnerable in the community.
This fundraiser will take place at Lake Boren Park in Newcastle on Wednesday, December 23 from 3:00 to 7:00 pm. Those who cannot make the special fundraiser can also submit monetary donations at any location of Dick’s Drive-In in the Seattle area.
