Bellevue celebrates the holiday season with lights and activities

The Bellevue Botanical Gardens is now holding its annual Garden d’Lights.

This seasonal event features over a half million sparkling lights in the shape of animals, birds, flowers, plants, and cascading waterfalls. On selected nights, there will also be music from groups in the area.

Hot drinks will be sold by the Copper Kettle Coffee Bar, and tasty treats will be sold by the Shorts House. There will be gifts for purchase in the Trillium Store gift shop.

The light show runs from 4:30 to 9:00pm, and general admission tickets are $8.00 each. Children 10 years of age and younger are admitted at no charge.

This year’s presenting sponsor is Amazon. Bellevue Parks and Community Services partners with the Bellevue Botanical Garden Society to maintain the garden throughout the year and to produce the Garden d’Lights. Proceeds from the event support educational programs and updates at the Botanical Garden.

The Garden d’Lights runs nightly through until Sunday December 31. Local Print shops often help to promote such annual events and their fundraising efforts with Posters and other displays throughout the community.

Additional lights can be viewed in downtown Bellevue on Snowflake Lane. Starting at 7:00pm, in addition to the lights, there is music and a parade every night. This annual celebration runs through until Sunday December 24.
