The third season of Al Fresco dining has been launched in Bellevue.
This year’s program, made possible by a partnership with Microsoft, Old Bellevue Merchants, and the Bellevue Downtown Association (BDA), marks the start to outdoor dining operations on a long-term basis. Lynne Robinson, mayor of Bellevue, said she has found the outdoor dining spaces on Main Street to be highly enjoyable and expressed her pleasure in being able to make these spaces possible beyond the last two years.
The outdoor dining will be in the parking lane of restaurants along Main Street, as well as on private property and the other outdoor dining spaces on the sidewalk. Over 40 restaurants will be participating in outdoor dining this year. Banner printing can be used throughout a city to promote such restaurants and their offerings throughout the season.
Chief economic development officer of Bellevue, Jesse Canedo, said that the Main Street Al Fresco program and its expansion across the city supports the efforts of the city to grow as a destination for fun activities and outdoor dining. President of the BDA, Patrick Bannon, said that a perfect way to enjoy summer in the city is through outdoor dining. He added that this also increases the potential for customers to visit nearby businesses and shops.
This year’s Al Fresco dining program will run through mid-September.
