Arts festival returns to Bellevue

Downtown Bellevue will be hosting the 34th annual Bellevue Festival of the Arts later this month.

Artists from the Pacific Northwest, across the country, and around the world present their works of rich and diverse media. The setting of tree-lined paths and an open-air urban environment encourages attendees to spend time viewing the artworks and provides opportunities to speak directly with artists.

In addition to the artwork, Aubrey’s Corner will be open. This space enables artists to work on projects while children engage in various activities and parents participate and learn more about art programs in the local area. There will also be a shaded food court offering a variety of culinary delights, as well as a stage for live musical performances. The performers scheduled so far include an Indian/Afro-Cuban ensemble, Anjuman and the Seattle Philharmonic Orchestra Cello Choir.

Proceeds from the festival are donated to several charities, both local and from around the world, and include L’Arche Noah Sealth of Seattle, American Indian College Fund, and Education at Elevation.

The festival runs from July 27 through July 29. The festival is open from 10:00 am to 8:00 pm on Friday and Saturday, and from 10:00 am to 6:00 pm on Sunday. The festival is free to the public.
