Annual farm fair to come to Bellevue

The city of Bellevue will be hosting the Kelsey Creek Farm Fair for the 42nd year this weekend.

Such annual events are often promoted throughout a city and neighboring communities with poster printing.

Attendees will be able to meet farm animals, take a ride on a wagon pulled by a tractor, and collect pumpkins. There will also be pony rides, the decorating of pumpkins, a play area for children, and hands-on heritage activities.

Bai Tong on Wheels and Swagg-n-Wagon will be offering food, the Village Perk will have drinks, and Pioneer Popcorn will have kettle corn, all available for purchase. Cascade Natural Honey will be offering honey, and the information booth will have water bottles for purchase.

Attendees can park at the Wilburton Park and Ride and the Bannerwood Sports Park from which there will be free shuttles to the farm. The last shuttle will leave the farm at 4:15 pm.

The farm began as Twin Valley Dairy in the 1920s and produced butter, cream, and milk for residents of Bellevue. The city of Bellevue purchased the farm 50 years later and made it a public park. There are 150 acres of land in the park, which includes wetlands, meadows, and forest in the heart of the city.

The Farm Fair will be this Saturday, October 5 from 11:00 am to 4:00 pm.
