Yearly art festival finds new location

An annual art event will return to Alexandria’s downtown core next month. The event was located on King Street in the past, but will be relocated this year to the John Carlyle Square.

The 19th season of the Alexandria Old Town Art Festival, has been organized by Howard Alan Events and American Craft Endeavors. The annual festival includes juried artwork, from well-known American artists in a variety of media. Attendees will find paintings for sale from several artists, including R. L. Alexander, Tom Barnes, April Davis, and Sara O'Connor. Other creations will be found in sculpture, clay, metal, wood, mixed media, blown glass, and printmaking. Full color and black and white photographs, along with digital media shots, will also be on hand. Handcrafted jewelry and fiber art, including scarves and handbags, will be presented for sale as well. Artwork will be available for any budget, with prices starting at $15, up to collectors’ pieces at $50,000.

Sponsorship opportunities with Howard Alan Events are available, with each event offering a chance to connect with thousands of consumers. Sponsors may be included in Print and digital advertising, and may be permitted to distribute Promotional Products and Brochures during the festival.
