Beats, Bites and Brews and the 6th Annual Bands & Brews fundraiser will be coming to Alexandria this August.
A laid-back summer afternoon, Beats, Bites and Brews will bring food and drinks to a Beer Garden with live music. Local vendors and artisans will be selling their original creations.
This event will be at John Carlyle Square Park, 300 John Carlyle Street, August 1st from 11:00 am to 6:00 pm and admission will be free.
The 6th Annual Bands & Brews is a fundraiser for the Alexandria Scholarship Fund. More than 20 local restaurants will be providing food specials, mocktails and cocktails. Each location along the route will have live music such as DJs, groups and solo musical acts and trivia, giveaways and raffles.
Pat Miller Square, at the corner of Oxford and Mt. Vernon, will provide live music and interactive activities. Individuals, groups and couples will be competing for $150, $100, and $50 Gift Certificates, and those completing the three interactive stations will be eligible for a grand prize. Event T-Shirts and other merchandise will be available for purchase.
Many fundraisers like this often send souvenir event t-shirts and other merchandise to local Print shops to have the event's logo or graphic design printed on them.
The 6th Annual Band and Brews will take place Saturday, August 15th from 12:30 pm to 6:00 pm. Tickets will be $25 at the event.
Both events will ensure a fun August for Alexandria.
