Tots to play and act in Alexandria

The Little Theatre of Alexandria is hosting a class for small children next month.

Theatrical Adventures is for children age three to five who have an interest in adventure and like to be creative. The instructor will be Eliza Lore, who will take kids on a fun experience with their imaginations. One day ,they will be in space flying to the moon and around the planets. Another day, they will be under the sea discovering caves. Children will engage in crafts, games, and scene work.

Eliza Lore studied at the London Drama Studio and is the former Frinton Summer Theatre Assistant Director. Her performance history includes Milwaukee's First Stage and the Synetic Theatre. She is trained in dagger, rapier, and unarmed stage combat.

The cost is $250 per child and is payable upon registration. Parents and guardians can register their child for the class on the theatre’s website. Children who attend must not be in diapers.

The Little Theatre of Alexandria is a community theatre at 600 Wolfe Street. It started in 1934 and has put on more than 350 productions over the years.

Classes for young children are available a few times a year. September is when fall classes start, spring classes begin in January, and there is a short summer session beginning in June.

Theatrical Adventures run 9:00 am to 12:00 pm each day from August 17 through August 21. Poster printing is often used in performing arts to advertise both shows and activities in the future.
