Foodies to enjoy new twists at restaurant week

Visit Alexandria recently announced that Alexandria Winter Restaurant Week will be coming up at the end of the month.

More than 60 restaurants in Alexandria will offer a three-course dinner for $35, or a $35 dinner for two, over a period of 10 days and two weekends.

Additionally, lunch specials priced at $10 or $20 per person will be offered by more than two dozen restaurants. Many hotels are also offering special rates close to the participating restaurants.

The main idea of Winter Restaurant Week is to showcase innovations made by many of the local chefs in neighborhoods throughout the city, including the West End, Del Ray, and Old Town Alexandria. There will be a range of dining options, from fine dining establishments to casual neighborhood favorites, where guests can enjoy the flavors of the distinctive collection of eateries that Alexandria has to offer.

New participants in Restaurant Week will include Carluccio’s and Magnolia on King, two new restaurants, while returning eateries will feature Del Ray Café, Bastille Restaurant and Wine Bar, Restaurant Eve, and many more.

Alexandria Winter Restaurant Week will begin on January 29 and run until February 7. Most likely, Visit Alexandria is using various marketing services to let people in the community and tourists to the Washington D.C. area become aware of this memorable event in the city.
