Alexandria Coral Society presents pop up concerts

Alexandria Coral Society will be presenting four live pop-up concerts in its 2021 Snow Globe Series.

Each concert will take place in a different part of town and programs will be unique to each location and audience. The Snow Globe title represents the concerts’ winter and holiday themes and wishes to create “moments in time.”

The Chorale will be under the baton of Art Director Brian J. Isaac and has been since 2017. For over 45 years the community chorus has performed pieces from the Renaissance to works by modern American composers.

Although all shows will be free to the public, the opening concert at Ole Town’s Carlyle House Historic Park, 121 N. Fairfax Street, on Saturday evening November 20th will have a few reserved seats. These free seats can be reserved online at the event’s website.

The series will continue with a show at John Carlyle Park, 300 John Carlyle Street, on Tuesday, November 23rd. The Chorale then moves its third event to Casa Chirilagua, 4109 Mr. Vernon Avenue on November 30th. The final concert in the series will be held Tuesday, December 7th at the Lee-Fendall House, 614 Oronoca Street.

All concerts will not have intermissions, begin at 8:00 pm and will take place outdoors if the weather cooperates.
