Alexandria charity gala celebrates 20th year
The Fund for Alexandria’s Child will hold its 20th Annual Fostering the Future Gala: Hope Grows Here in mid-May.
The evening will feature cocktails, heavy hors d-oeuvres, desserts, music, an open bar, and live and silent auctions with a rooftop panoramic view of the Potomac River, historic Old Town, and DC.
This, as well as all the past annual spring galas, will be the annual major fundraiser for the organization. The Fund for Alexandria’s Child aids children at risk of neglect and abuse by being placed with relatives, and those in foster care, and helping youth as they age out of the system.
Individual tickets are $125, and foster parent and DCHS Social worker tickets are $100.
Sponsorships begin at $500 with the Roots Sponsorship (logo design in program plus one VIP ticket and parking) and include the Sprout $1,500 (half-page advertisement in the program with VIP and two guest tickets and parking), and Seedling $3,000 (full-page advertisement with VIP tickets and parking for four guests).
All sponsors will receive acknowledgement in the Fund for Alexandria’s Child e-newsletter and on its social media, verbal recognition at the event, and first-class service and exclusive Goodhart Garden seating.
The gala will take place on Friday, May 19 from 7:30 pm to 10:30 pm at Above ALX Community Penthouse, 277 South Washington Street.
