The Alexandria Earth Day celebration is taking place at the end of this April. This year's theme is ‘It's your Turn to Lead’.
The event promises that there will be plenty of children's activities, demonstrations, and food. Trees will be available for purchase and there will be an Arbor Day tree planting, as musical entertainment throughout the day.
One important part of the event is the Upcycling Showcase for children in grades K through 12, showing what is possible through recycling, reusing, and reducing. It will feature literature, fashion, visual arts, and performing arts.
In addition, a number of environmentally-related community groups will be on hand to provide the public with information about what they have to offer. There is no fee for these groups, but they must first apply to the Alexandria Earth Day Committee.
Visitors are discouraged from driving to this event, and DASH will be providing free rides from 9:30 am - 3:00 pm. Organizers may have invested in poster printing services in Alexandria to make enough Copies of this year's poster to distribute it all over the city.
Alexandria Earth Day celebrations will take place at Ben Brenman Park on April 25 from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm, and the event is free to attend. To get the latest information, contact Natasha Andersen at 703-749-5418.Get a Free Quote for Copies
