The Leadership in Energy Management Award was recently bestowed on Tyler Junior College at the TXU Energy Summit in Dallas.
The award was given to the college to recognize its efforts of using new technologies to manage the consumption of energy. It was one of five recipients of these inaugural awards given out at the summit.
Vice president of business markets for TXU Energy, Gabe Castro, commented that the organizations and businesses that won these awards demonstrate responsibility in the use of energy, and that the company is excited to celebrate their leadership. The company partners with its customers to keep their commitment to the environment and help them reach their goals with regard to sustainability. It is hoped that their leadership in these areas will motivate others with their respective goals.
Tyler Junior College has over 12,000 students, and is among the state’s largest community colleges, with five campuses in East Texas. Many of its buildings date back to the 1940s, but it is managing its consumption of energy by means of several technologies that include electric charging stations for its program in mechanical automotives.
The use of professional printing, such as banner printing, around such campuses can be used to make students and members of the community aware of annual awards and recognitions.
