Tyler Junior College will be holding an open house for potential students and their families on its main campus later this month.
Known as Apache Preview Day, it is an afternoon that provides an opportunity for future students and their parents to more closely examine the campus of the college, explains the director of admissions for Tyler Junior College, Nidia Arellano Hassan.
Those who attend the event will be able to tour the campus, see the many organizations and activities on it, meet with faculty and academic advisors, and attend sessions on scholarships and financial aid, as well as the Presidential Honors Program. A T-shirt and an information packet will be given to the students. The latter offers an opportunity for Print shops to provide the various printing services that are needed for such packets.
Tyler Junior College is one of the largest and extensive community colleges in the state. It typically has over 12,000 students enrolled in its 125 degree and certificate programs each semester. The main campus is 145 acres in size and there are multiple branches of the college in the state. It features modern residential facilities, an outstanding performing and fine arts program, and 60 national championships in athletics.
Apache Preview Day will take place on Saturday, November 10 from 1:00 to 4:00 pm on the main campus of Tyler Junior College.
