Two Texas colleges form degree completion agreement

Jarvis Christian University (JCU) and Tyler Junior College (TJC) have signed an agreement to facilitate the transfer of credits for the completion of a four-year degree, strengthening the collaboration between the two institutions.

Programs to be aligned between the two institutions will include computer information systems, business administration, history, criminal justice, and cybersecurity. Once students from TJC complete their associate degree in any of the stated program fields, they can transfer to JCU with all their course credits intact.

The agreement also provides access for students to JCU’s Transfer Academic Excellence Scholarships These start at $4,000 and go as high as $8,000 and apply for their attendance at JCU for the next two years, based on academic achievement. These scholarships can be renewed at the end of the academic year for the amount of time the student is attending JCU. Such colleges often turn to brochure printing to provide more details about their programs and other news.

President and CEO of JCU, Dr. Glenell M. Lee-Pruitt, expressed his excitement about this collaboration that will enable the two colleges to serve students who want to further their education in East Texas. Meanwhile, the President and CEO of TJC, Dr. Juan E. Mejia, added that such major partnerships enable colleges to go further and achieve more together, empowering students to the point of excellence.
