New dome shows have come to the Earth & Space Science Center at Tyler Junior College (TJC).
Such new shows are often promoted throughout a college campus and the community with poster printing.
The Hudnall Planetarium will be offering a variety of shows for children who are 10 years old and younger. Among the titles are “Dinosaur Passage to Pangaea,” “The Little Star that Could,” and “Accidental Astronauts,” with a different show each day. These shows will be on Saturdays at 11:00 am and Monday through Friday at 10:00 am.
Actor Liam Neeson is the narrator for “Dynamic Earth,” which explores the inner workings of the climate system of the earth. Audiences will experience diving into the heart of a hurricane, flying into volcanoes, and riding on swirling ocean and wind currents, among others. This show will be at 2:00 pm Monday through Saturday.
A special presentation will be “LASER Rock the Dome Saturday,” which will feature two concerts filled with lasers, other visuals, and music. “Pink Floyd’s The Wall” will have mesmerizing laser art as the backdrop to the celebrated 1979 album. This show will be at 7:00 pm, followed by “LASER Metallica” at 8:00 pm, with laser lights accompanying the group’s heavy metal sound.
These dome shows will be a week tomorrow on Saturday, March 19.
