Special recognition goes to Tyler Junior College

The Texas Success Center (TSC) of the Texas Association of Community Colleges (TACC) has recognized Tyler Junior College (TJC) for its essential practices.

The practices in question have been dramatically scaled and are associated with transforming the college culture through Texas Pathways in an effort to improve the experiences of students.

Officials from TSC have commended the college for being an exemplar among its peers in the growth of essential practices to do with the four pillars of Texas Pathways. The college has the second highest growth rate among colleges in Texas for the first three pillars, and the third highest growth rate for the fourth pillar. Officials from TSC have highlighted how TJC has dramatically changed the experiences of its students as each of the 23 individual essential practices of the four pillars has had an effect on a broader group of students.

Local Print shops that offer flyer printing services can help to disseminate information about such awards and recognitions throughout the college community.

Dr. Juan E. Mejia, CEO and president of TJC, said that the college was recognized in this way due to the many initiatives that have helped students to be successful in their higher education journey. He expressed his honor about being able to work with the great scholars and leaders at the college.
