Registration open at Tyler Junior College for upcoming terms

Tyler Junior College will soon be holding registration for the winter and spring terms.

All of the courses offered during the winter term are held online and last for three weeks. Among the courses to be offered are Texas and federal government; introductory courses in ethics, world religions, and philosophy; mathematics courses that include elementary statistics, contemporary mathematics, and mathematics for teachers I and II; and principles of macroeconomics and microeconomics. Colleges often turn to printing services to create materials with more information about such courses and any prerequisites.

The director of admissions for the college, Claire Mizell, said that there will be staff available at the walk-in advising sessions who will be able to help those with the admissions process who are not already students at the college.

The walk-in advising sessions will be held on Monday, December 16 and Tuesday, December 17 from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm.

There will also be a Fast Track event for students to take tests, make use of advising services, and register in the Rogers Nursing and Health Sciences Center on Saturday, December 14. Testing hours will be from 7:30 am to 2:00 pm and advising will be available from 9:00 am to 3:00 pm.

The winter term runs from December 16 through January 7, while classes for the spring semester begin on Monday, January 13.
