A new exhibit is now open in downtown Tyler at Gallery Main Street in the atrium of the Plaza Tower on North College Avenue.
Called “Alley to Gallery,” the exhibit features work by local artists and focuses on those who have contributed to the Art Alley mural project in Tyler. People can come into town to view the artwork or see it online. Among the artists whose work is in the exhibit are Ricky Seagroves, Melissa Moore, Dace Lucia Kidd, and Nohely Bustos. Print shops often design Flyers and other materials to advertise such special exhibits.
Amber Varona, director of the gallery, expressed her excitement about having this opportunity for those who are participating in the Art Alley project. The versatility of their talent comes through in this exhibit, and she notes that it demonstrates their ability to create outdoor murals as well as artwork suitable for display in a gallery.
The Gallery Main Street in the newly renovated lobby of the Plaza Tower is part of the Downtown Business, Arts, and Culture District and showcases the work of artists from the local area. Exhibits rotate on a regular basis so that the community gets exposure to a range of talent in the region.
Hours of the gallery are from 8:00 am to 11:00 pm, and the exhibit is free and open to the public. It will be opened until Monday, March 1.
