Leaders join college in Tyler

New people will be heading up the Office of Technology Services and the School of Continuing Studies at Tyler Junior College (TJC).

The new Chief Information Officer (CIO) is Jim Pullam who will be in charge of the Office of Technology Services. Pullman has been in the technology field for 35 years and has worked in such industries as public education and local and state government. His roles in public education have included being chief information security officer (CISO) for the system of the Minnesota State Colleges and Universities and other leadership roles within the system of Utah State Higher Education.

Chief Operating Officer and vice president for operations, Kimberly Lessner, said that the knowledge and background which Pullman has make him uniquely qualified to serve as the CIO for the college.

Brent Wallace will be the new dean of the School of Continuing Studies and executive administrator of TJC West. Wallace has over 30 years of experience in corporate and academic settings, focusing on needs assessment, educational partnerships with area businesses, customer relationship management, and operational strategies. Provost and vice president for student and academic affairs, Dr. Deanna Sheppard, expressed her thrill in welcoming Wallace to the college given his depth of experience in continuing studies and his collaborative work which will well serve the community and the college.
