Chinese businessman looks to invest in Tyler

Tyler is targeted to become a global destination for medicine, education, and senior living thanks to the efforts and funds provided by Xing Tan, a Chinese businessman.

In his native Guizhou Province, he is a member of a major chamber of commerce and owns serveral companies specializing in manufacturing.

Tan is planning to spend $1.6bn over a five-year period by developing a piece of property measuring 178 acres in size where the west-southwest Loop 323 and of Earl Campbell Parkway intersect. Adams Engineering of Tyler has been hired by America Hongyun City International Group LLC, Tan’s company, to conduct a feasibility study of his plan.

Tan recently visited Tyler to attend meetings with the CEO of the Tyler Area Chamber of Commerce and several city officials. Tan said his plan is for encouraging oversees businesses to invest in the United States and provide an educational platform for students.

He wants to bring thousands of students to this country and help to build new and expand existing facilities to accommodate them. Senior living and medical care would be part of the project, as many Chinese baby boomers need a place to retire.

Various printing services can be used to promote projects such as this one and attract other businesses in China to invest in it.
